Tahoe HD Hood

Hello all. I have an opportunity to swap my stock hood from my 05 Tahoe for an HD hood from a 02 Silverado. Only catch is I have to put my Tahoe hood back on the Silverado. My question is will my stock hood fit back on the Silverado? It has the Duramax if that makes a difference. I know it will bolt up but I'm concerned about it clearing the front of the engine where the HD hood "bulges". Thanks in advance!

Just wanted to update this for anyone who is interested. The stock Tahoe hood WILL NOT work on the Silverado HD with the Duramax. There is not enough clearance for the radiator. I cannot speak for the 6.0/8.1 gas engines but on the diesel it's a no go.
