Can I change out my rear spring on my 07 Yukon easily myself with minimum tools or should I have my mechanic just do it?

Without knowing your mechanical ability it is hard to say. It isn't that hard but I recommend you go to you tube and watch and then see if you can duplicate the procedure. You will need a floor jack to be safe, wheel blocks, jack stands to be safe, air tools will be a big plus as well as an assortment of sockets and extensions and flex extensions and the ability to see if anything gets out of whack or is already out of whack while under there.

its not that big of a job, just be sure you are watching any line/wires as you lower the axle, I did it and didnt even need a spring compressor.

Jack up both side of the yukon, remove the wheels, and put in jack stands (only rear wheels need to be off the ground). Once you have the the yukon securely on jack stands move the jack to under the pumpkin of the rear end, jack it up enough to release tension on the shocks, remove the lower shock bolts, and slowly drop the jack until the rear springs come out.

Hand tools are sufficient.

Thanks for all the help everyone, this looks pretty easy actually. This will get me to buy some stands and a jack that I have been putting off. [emoji482]

give me a call before you do it. Ill work you thru it

1) make sure to pop off wires on outside of frame rail on both sides
2) make sure to remove brake line bracket on top of the axle

do this before you let the rear end all the way down if not you can have some issues.
