Looking to get tougher/all terrain tires that are on the quieter side for highway trips.

it's not subjective at all, there is such a thing as quiet AT tires and noisy as hell AT tires and plenty in between. All this is really subjective. I’ve had “quiet” street tires that would almost put me to sleep on long trips due to their resonance and “noisy” AT tires that kept me awake the whole time.
But mostly AT tires are going to be louder than most street tires. I would go online to tire rack or discount tire or tiresize and read reviews. Just note that tires get noisier as they wear.
I love my Micky Thompson Bajas, but they would not be the quietest. They are not so loud that you can’t carry on a comfortable conversation, but you do hear them.
Inflation pressure has a lot to do with noise as well.

the toyo open country were by far the worst tires I have ever "tried" ungodly noisy and i would only recommend to my worst enemy who would hopefully die at the first chance of rain because they were 100% useless with almost 0 wet traction. really sucked because they come so "highly recommended" how that happened is beyond belief....
had to eat about $500 in them to the 1st sucker that I could pass them off too.
"they looked nice" is about the only thing I can say positive. I was literally scared to drive with them on a paved surface. I would call them a 100% off-road use only tire.

I’m seconding Doubeleive, had these on my Land Cruiser and they just were crap. Had the KO2s afterwards and never had an issue with them (E rated too). Offroaded them and tons of road trips. KO2s were just a better tire. I will not say don’t get them, but just would not recommend them. Maybe the two of us just got super unlucky with the same bad batch.I just drive it, just my experience with that brand, to each there own. I can't recommend them to anyone. Nothing wrong with my vehicle, the OP asked about QUIET AT tires, the toyo's are not it, I wouldn't take them for free
for what it's worth they were toyo open country a/t II 352740, brand new from a nationwide dealer, they were balanced and all good, just crap ass tires
my primary complaint: road noise (extreme) & wet traction -100 if that was a rating.
if you have ever been driving down the road and hear a truck next to you "humming" from 40 feet away with your windows rolled up and radio on because of there tires, that's what those tires did 100%![]()

I’m running 285s and my son is running larger size and I’m SOLD, SOLD, SOLD.
And they have 2 different sidewall looks…one more aggressive, and one less so you get to choose which side to show!
