I Have some Sumitomo Encounters on my Yukon. They have just the slightest hum at 75-80mphs but nothing that would cause you to want to stick a needle in your ear. Meaty looking at Snow Rated if you care about that aspect.

The new Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent has really good reviews. It’s an on road all terrain so it prioritizes highway noise and comfort. It still has the aggressive look just not quite as aggressive as some of the off road all terrains suggested. You have to sacrifice some noice for the bigger lugs and deeper tread.

I installed Michelin Cross Climate 2's in the 285 45 22 instead of the original size of 275 50 22 on my 2021 Suburban High Country, they don't make that size. It is only a touch smaller but they handle great rain and snow, Detroit Metro area. They are a little noisier than the cheap General's that were on it when I bought it used. It was a low level tire, black and round, terrible in the rain.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers...absolutely fantastic tire IMO no need to look for anything else. They look great, ride smooth and quiet and have good traction in all conditions. On our 2nd set, got 50K miles out of the 1st set. These are the same size as the stock tires and with the 5.3 our XL averages 18 mpg all around with these tires

Has anyone had the 24 inch nitto recon grapplers, and if so, how do they feel? These are extremely popular for those who are leveling with a bigger tire/rim size.

Edit: these are the tires hurst autoplex is using for all their custom Denali setups.

How do they handle in snow? I was thinking about picking up another set of wheels and converting stocks to Blizzacks for the winter.

I went from a 33x12.50 RBP to a 33x14.50 Hercules, and it's actually quieter. Both are mud tires, but tread patterns and lug configurations play a huge part in the noise. I absolutely love my current tires.

I've been looking at the Bridgestone Ascent, and the newish Cooper A/T's. Both are rated for quiet.

FWIW, There's another factor I haven't seen mentioned here- the road surface.

I've gotten to the point that I will not ride my bike at highway speeds on concrete roads, without earplugs.

On two wheels or four, the tire whine on concrete highways is much more obnoxious than it is on asphalt highways. For me, it can actually be painful.
