I have a 2005 Tahoe and I am looking for something to go under my back seat for a little more bass. I DO NOT want a box behind my seat. It has to be under the second row. Im thinking maybe some JL 10W3 or JL 10W1 since they are a shallow mounting depth and still sound good. Any other good options????
Also what amp should i get for a speaker of that size????
And i have the bose sound system with the 6 disk CD player and steering wheel controls. What do i need to make this work.
thanks

this is the box im looking at, any other options?

id say get two 12's shallow mounts under the seat... ive heard the kickers in a extended cab chevy an it was booming... very nice sub with very little air space needed..

I'd go with the dual 10 box and two kicker solo classics, they match perfectly since the kicker needs .66cf/sub and has a mounting depth of 5 3/4". My two 12s are loud as hell I might even look at doing this box myself just so I can use all the space in back.

If you look at this link. The mounting depth is only 4.5 inches, which limits your sub choices to very few.

I'd call the place and verify mounting depth, they state 6" so you'll be fine with the solo classics. Most of the shallow mount subs lack dynamic range especially at lower frequencies, you'll be much happier with something that takes advantage of all available space.
