Hello all- I have a 2017 Yukon XL Denali with struts that have about 5000 miles on them. I noticed today that the bottom of the strut is moving forward or backward on the bushing. I don’t hear anything when driving, and it seems to drive well. The passenger and driver struts are moved in different directions, front and rear. I have attached a picture of the driver side looking from the street up at the strut. You can notice the gap with the bushing, and the bottom ring of the strut touching the wishbone. Again the other side of the car has he same issue, but just pushed to the rear. What could cause this? Thanks!!

You said struts have 5k miles on them. Means they have been replaced, right? What brand? Someone tried to save some money maybe that thinks all struts are created equal?

I ordered them from gmpartsstore.com, which was reviewed as the best one, and basically dealerships around the country selling OEM parts for discounts. I had a shop install them. They looked OEM and matched up well with the old originals. Maybe I was taken to the cleaners?

Did you order them by entering your VIN first at their website?

Are you sure that they actually moved from their original position when they were installed?
