I started a front end rebuild today and took my strut assemblies to a local shop to have them swap the struts. The kid doing it didn't impart a lot of confidence as I watched and told him to make sure they were oriented correctly.

I discovered during install that the strut is oriented 180 degrees from where it needs to be for the bottom bolt tabs to align correctly. The other side is completely off so I'll be going back tomorrow to throw them in the coil spring compressor and get it right.

Question: I'm working on the passenger side and the bottom tabs pitch slightly down when facing the back of the hub in order to mate up with the lower control arm. I can't confirm this on the drivers side since the top plate is so far off and the bottom is rotated about 45 degrees from where it should be.

Can someone confirm that both sides have the bottom bolt tabs pointing down towards the hub? I assume this would be the case but don't want to tell them how to set the strut up and get home to find that one side pitches down and the other side pitches up. I unfortunately didn't take note before they pulled the old struts.

Here's a picture to help.

Your picture is correct for both sides, set them both up the same and you will be good to go.
