I'm replacing my stock struts this week and was curious if I should replace the strut mounts. It's highway driven mostly. 140K Miles. I've read both sides in different posts and internet searches. Many say that the mounts should last the life of the vehicle unless it has modified suspension (which mine is all stock) I've driven other cars with 200-300K miles with stock mounts.... but they were lightweight cars... not a heavy SUV. Has anyone gotten 200K plus miles out of stock mounts?

I replaced my struts at 150k miles, and I replaced all of the components in the strut assembly. I just felt that replacing everything at once would yield the best long term results. Besides, the rest of the components of the strut assembly were cheap when compared to the cost of the strut/shock itself.
