2004 Yukon Denali.

The stability control system / automatic traction control activates at the most random intervals. I can be driving in an absolute straight line and it activates. Pulls away my throttle and makes all the weird grinding noises under the hood/dash/front end. Normal straight line acceleration no turning or tire slip is happening at all.

I can disable the traction control by the button on the dash and it drives just fine and never acts up.

Anyone else ever experience this?

Had this happen on my old 2003 Tahoe. In my case it was one of the front ABS wheel sensors. Same exact issue you describe. Goes away when you shut off the traction control.

Rust in sensors, my 01 had a recall for them.
