An OEM doesn't look like it will fit without a grill swap. I thought about this swap as well.

I have an 03 Tahoe. I'm swapping it to an 05 silverado front clip. But I got 2 different aftermarket bumper cover tho

this. the ss bumper has a dip in the center for the newer style grill

You can get one like this that is a cover which doesn't seem very difficult to install. Just remove lower valance an attach with screws.
