SS bumper cover help!!!!!

Hey guys. I ordered a ss cover off eBay. Duraflex. I cannot for the life of me get the cover installed over my bumper. Took the valance off and it wouldn’t go. Got it over one side but couldn’t pull it over other side. I think it may be hitting my frame horns. Any other members on here installed one. Have any these issues?? The main reason I’m installing is because I have a new bumper painted myself N it just keeps getting rock chips and it bugs the hell outta me now I totally scratched the shit out of my top cover and my bumper trying to get this thing on bout to hang it up an take it to body shop but wanted to see what it looked like before I install permanently

Question when you did this did it require removing any part of the oem steel bumper? Usually just covers like Sonomas and GMC use just are the covers only and they go over the bumper brace and frame horns. And the oem Chevy bumpers get removed. Is this the same for full size gmt 800s?
What did you conclude finally the steps ?
And wouldnt a used 99-02 Silverado SS 'cover had worked ?
Everything I read the duraflex stuff off any car or truck always comes kinda of not well made. Requiring modifications too fit nicely.

I'm looking too do the same potentially. But wasnt sure how these covers fit .

No u just remove the bottom valance an have to cut some the frame horns off. I ended up getting rid of it didn’t wanna go through all the work. Ended up doing hd front end
