OK, I bought this car brand new, ordered it from the factory, so I know every detail about this pig, inside & out. The door panels have been off a few times for sound deadening, after market speakers and the occasional door/window/lock replacement-fix, etc.

Anyways, the passenger side window was only going down a fraction, say an inch or so, wtf. Regulator? motor?

Pulled the panel, dug around, couldn't trouble shoot it, but after tightening it all up, bam it was working fine.

Put it back together and it did the same thing, wtf.

Pulled it apart again, and found this little f-er...

This bolt was spawned by satan himself, it goes in the back of the window regulator, through to the other side, there is (or was) a nut on the other side. When the bolt backs out, it blocks the window from lowering. It was a royal pain in the ass to get to, and get out. Forget putting it back! To access the other side take an act of God, and I was in no mood to bother him for my Tahoe.

The widow works perfectly fine without it, go figure.

Soooo.... if this ever happens to you, now you know. Satan's bolt on the back of the regulator, towards the middle area, right next to Acheron river.

Please consider modifying your thread title to something like===>>> Solved - Window won't go down all the way. This way, folks will know what the actual issue was, and that the thread contains a solution.
