My 2010 Tahoe PPV is telling me "service brakes soon" in the message center. The front pads were worn down to the sensors I replaced them and the front rotors. Rears looked fine. The brakes work great but "service brakes soon" message is still there. I bought a scanner the Foxwell NT710 and tried to clear the brake code but it does not clear it. Tahoe has 84k miles on it. Any ideas?

Fluid level is full. According to the scanner it shows C1100_00
Google says it could be several different issues. But the NT710 never seems to clear the code. With the key in the on position, the message center is giving me the service brakes soon message before and after clearing the code without turning the vehicle key to off or starting the engine and pressing the brake. It just seems like it doesn’t clear the code at all.

I have a Foxwell NT710 and those are vehicle specific. I have mine set up for my GM vehicles. You can have other vehicles but is yours set up for GM vehicles? Plus, address the diagnostic code steps, like @Fless said.

I'm not too familiar with the NNBS years, but is there a reset for the new pads and sensors? What are the sensors? Just the physical squeaker tangs on the pads, or something electronic?
no pad sensors on these until the t2xx series
when pads are done on those there is a reset procedure that can be done thru the cluster like a oil change/life reset
