I have a 2007 LT3 Tahoe with about 13000 miles. I recently noticed small oil stains in my garage. I looked underneath the tahoe and i see oil like scattered around where the oil pan is and around the metal bar that is underneath the oil pan. I have to constantly clean it every 3 days. What could it be? I oil filter is tight and shows no oil dripping from there. Also the oil pan plug is tight and oil does not drip from there. Any ideas?

My guess is that the air conditioning pump is leaking oil and possibly even the gas / oil charge inside of it.

You are probably due for a new Denso pump anyways if you have not yet changed it.

I looked at it again and the drip is coming right from the top where the oil filter is. Its this metal looking piece that has two bolts on its ends. I will make an appointment with the dealer to have them look at it. I am due for an oil change anyways.

Ok, so i took it to the dealer and they found the problem: The oil pan gasket is bad and so are the oil lines. They are replacing them. Im just shocked that this type of problem occurred at only 14,000 miles on my truck. i would have expected this at somewhere around 50-80K miles. Thank God for Warranty.
