Wouldn't that not really affect the headlight angle then?

New, presumably more accurate rendering:

I like it but yet it looks pretty much the same with very subtle differences that I am not sure I like.

I think it's a nice upgrade to the current model.

Next Generation Silverado to Debut December 13th

DETROIT – Chevrolet will take the wraps off the all-new Silverado 1500 full-size pickup on Dec. 13 at a special event in the Detroit area. The bold exterior design of the new Silverado reflects the enhanced capabilities of the truck while features such as jewel-like, projector beam headlamps showcase the careful attention given to every detail.

The new Silverado will be on public display for the first time at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January, and will start production next year.

Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 140 countries and selling more than 4 million cars and trucks a year. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature spirited performance, expressive design and high quality. More information on Chevrolet models can be found at www.chevrolet.com.

I am not trying to be a hater but what changed? Looks almost exactly like the old one. I thought this was an all new model? Put this and the old one side by side and the average person could not tell any difference.

There is a pretty big difference looking at the truck head on.
The interior will be a massive difference. GM only aimed for subtle differences on the exterior of the 2014 models but it is definitely very noticeable.

Notwithstanding the above is a rendering, let's assume for a second that the real thing looks exactly like that.

What exactly do you expect to change to the exterior of a pickup truck?

You can slightly change the front and rear fascias, headlamp assemblies, wheel arches, and small body details, and it looks like that's what they're doing.

Pretty much the same type of small evolutionary changes happened on the last redesign and all the other manufacturers' redesigns. Heck the new RAM looks identical to the old RAM but for the headlamp option.

It's not like cars where you can scrap the whole design and start from scratch. Plus these trucks are GM's/Ford's bread and butter ... no way they are risking catastrophe by gambling on a massive paradigm shift.

Imho of course.

+1. That was a fancier way than I would ever try and explain the same thing. Lol
