Constantly getting the “side detection Unavailable” message at startup. Looked under the bumper and the PS sensor heat staking has failed at 2 of 3 tabs.

What is the proper GM fix for this issue? I’ve heard a new bumper is required?

After trying several glues and adhesives I bought a $17 plastic welder from Harbor Freight and it’s solid now. Error message is gone and indicator functions, might be less sensitive than beforehand can’t remember.

Putting the year and model of what you own would help when you ask a question.
