Hate to break your heart but I'm switching to the z71 valence like all the other cool kids. I've done a ton of measuring and actually have a few different size/style rectangular lights but I don't think anything will have the OEM+ look I'm going for. They just made the hole too weird of a size so everything has to be pointed sideways to look like it fits flush but then the beam pattern is way off. I was considering cutting the back off of the factory lights and putting a KC highlights flex, which is the smallest all in one sealed light I could find. But I think the pattern would look weird being shined through a chopped up reflector housing not to mention my reasoning for replacing the factory lights is that they constantly get full of water, which will only get worse if I cut the entire back off.

There are a few options to mount dual square pods in each fog light hold but I think the square lights look odd and kinda cheesy.

I never realized how different the Yukon bumpers were. You could do the Denali cover and have round fogs, or the GMC 2500 work trucks have round fogs not sure what's involved in that swap but I love that front end.

Sorry mate the best I came up with on my rectangular search was this. I have them on my Silverado they were left over from a buddies project and they are awesome! But they are not rated to be road legal and will blind everything.

Yeah, I only have them because they were leftover from a failed project on a buddies car. They are bright but I think Rigids products are a little overhyped, the $20 amazon pods on my golf cart put out very close to the same amount of light as those.

I’d love to find a decent fog that will fit the NBS mount. This is most of the reason I was considering adapting a Z71 front valance to my Yukon, but I decided it’s way more work to adapt it than its worth. So I’m stuck with the rectangular fogs / mounts.. please share all your details. [emoji16][emoji106][emoji631]

Gotta get that 03+ Sierra bumper with round fog lights. Worth it and it’s an easy swap without modification or fabrication. Those are an even bigger hole and can fit a variety of lights

or you can put in hood projectors like I had (round fog in square hole lol) . They looked good and were kinda hidden so it wasn’t an eye sore.

Ok time for me to ditch my yucky water-filled OEM fogs. I was looking at doing the jeep fog lights but I'd like to do wide-angle fogs instead of driving lights and I would like the option of the interchangeable lens between clear and amber as well as having the option to switch the beam pattern. So I think the Diode Dynamics SS3s mentioned a few pages back are the best bet.

The question now is what style mounting bracket should I buy? I know I will have to mod them no matter what but I'd like to get something close.

Also, does anyone think it would be worth it to buy the kit for the 2007-2014 suburban fogs so it comes with the little trim piece? The only downside of this style is the mounting bracket is awful and pretty much useless for fitting on a NBS.

***edit: Never mind I realized the suburban kit won't work like I was thinking.***

Wow wider than the H1s that's impressive, that's kinda what I feared most out of those. or that they would just kinda blend in with the H1s and no be obvious that they are on. I have a set of the little Morimoto XB fogs on my 4 wheeler (another left over part I snagged) they are great on the 4 wheeler but were almost unnoticeable on a car. Not sure if they were mounted too low on the car or what but I was not impressed.

I can fab little brackets and kept the rectangle fogs for parts. If I need to I can run to LKQ and try to find some Z71 brackets as well.

Hey, I’m good with this if it’s a direct swap! I was looking at the Z71 valence for this reason, but sounded like that would require Fab work. If I can bolt on a Sierra bumper and valence, then hell yeah! Would I need to swap just the bumper (chrome) and lower valance (with the round fog holes), or is there more to it? Searching, I found a guy on TYF who did this, but used 2500 parts and it was a pita. Anyone have a step by step on this?

I don't know of a step by step thread but all the 1/2ton frames should be the same and the later model 1500 sierras had that bumper so it should bolt right on.

You should go to a junkyard with a Yukon and a Sierra. Take both front ends off and swap them, then you will know and can buy the sierra parts while you're there

This is a great idea. Problem is our junkyards suck in Denver!! There’s hardly any NBS Yukon’s to be found. Very limited. Worth a shot though. That would be a good plan.. I’ll start looking.. [emoji16][emoji106][emoji631]

You have to swap your frame horns with HD frame horns iirc. On the GMC trucks the horns are bolt on and removable, as where the Chevy frame horns are welded on
