for the tahoes with the big ass black shocks in the rear, are these a direct replacement? i thought that there was another part that bilstein made that you should order along with the rear shocks?

nope, I lowered mine 3" in rear, with shorter springs and shock relocators, these were a direct bolt in place of the big black shocks.

that's good to know. i think i remember reading about if you have the premium auto ride, then they suggest ordering a new spring along with the rear shocks.

or vise versa, if you repalce to lowering springs, replace shocks to get the full drop.
