Had a clunk in right rear after 50 miles of rough 4x4 road. Finally found it to be a bad bushing in the lower right rear shock so I decided to replace the shocks. All four were showing their age. I would like to know if they were original equipment or not and if not what brand they are. I went with new Bilstein 4600 shocks but they are shorter and lighter than what was on there.
They are grey in color with no brand name and have the numbers Q19 260 and 660747 on one and 660758 and Q19 290 on the other. If I can post a photo you will see that they are much bigger than the replacement Bilstein.
I’m thinking I’d rather have new versions of what was on there. Thanks.8EF309FD-8452-4996-86F3-12C43E8F8F09.jpeg

My newest grey shocks I put on my 05 recently are KYB shocks. You can look them up at RA and compare part specs to see the size difference.

I just checked on the KYB website and none of the numbers are recognized there. The grey ones I took off are very beefy compared to the Bilstein so I’m wondering if they are aftermarket.

Does anyone know what shocks were run as original equipment? 2006 Tahoe LT 4x4 5.3L

Just looked at their site and think you might be right. I couldn’t verify part numbers but they look right. Now I’m wondering if I have one of their lift kits too. I know mine sits pretty high.

Both of the part numbers you listed are in that instruction sheet link I posted.

I’m beginning to think that the 2” kit is on my Tahoe. I will look to see the next time I’m under there. Thanks.
