Hi everyone. I have a 2009 Yukon Denali and the chrome on the passenger side running board is bubbling and peeling. Has anyone removed the two chrome trim pieces? Is it hard to do, and also if I leave it off will there be mounting holes etc. visible left behind? If anyone has pictures that would help me greatly!
Thanks in advance, Mike

It's easy to take off. A flat head screw driver start from one of the edges and work your way across it. The are held in by tabs on the back of the chrome trim, if you remove them the running board will have visible gaps where the chrome trim snaps in. Won't look good. I found replacement chrome trim pieces off a wrecked Denali for $80 shipped. On eBay. Just search around you should be able to find them.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the quick reply. I will keep my eyes open for used/new trim.
