Have an 04 4wd non Z71 Tahoe, currently sitting on 20” 2014+ Chevy LT wheels off a suburban/Silverado/Tahoe etc. Was wanting to go from a 275/55 to a 275/65 (34.1” ish). Given when I tried to do 315s on my stock 16s it just wasn’t gonna happen, am I gonna have the same problems with so much narrower tire? I understand the 20s are 9” wide vs 7 wife and have (I think) 30mm less inner clearance. Anyone done something on a similar wheel/tire setup? I’m not worried so much about the plastic liners, but I got to looking at the lower control arm mount and it looks like it would be close, just like it was “too close” with the x7s and 315s. Anyone??? Can I trim that mount?

I think you'll be rubbing. I've had this size diameter on a similar offset with keys and rubbed.. SLT. You can try to measure your current setup and run the wheel comparison tool to get a better idea and measure against what you have now. https://tiresize.com/comparison/
