Bought a Dash Mat and installed it. Nothing major, just the truck sits in the sun all day as their is no shade in my office parking lot. Also it changes up the interior just a bit.

No real complaints except I have to keep checking the adhesive strips every now and then.

My dad was behind me and noticed that my parking brake cable was sagging. I knew it was low but thought it was normal as I see plenty of GMT-800s with the same thing. Turned out that is because the one clips was missing (probably rusted away after 13 years of NJ weather and road salt) so I got a bag of retainer clips from the local dealer for 10 bucks. Only needed two. I could have zip-tied the line back in place but for $1.07 a clip I can't complain.

Below is old vs new.

No more dragging cable!

Oh nice simple and cheap fix that most don't notice
I know I see a ton of those years with the same issue.

I finally decided to have the windows tinted. I wanted to have it done when I was in high school back in 2009, but never did because I didn't know where to go. Finally found a shop and got it done. Check out the before and after photos.

Looks like you matched the rear tint? That's what I did to mine. Looks much better! And that way you can check out the chick in the car next to you without them even knowing. Not that I do that, just sayin' you could.

The Tow\Haul mode button hasn't worked in years. All of a sudden it started to go on by itself so you would have to tilt the steering column or shift from park to drive a few times to turn it off. I found that the wire has been severed from the shift stick so that might explain the button not working. I figured the other half of the wire was touching something to trigger Tow/Haul mode.

I decided to trace the wire and to my surprise I found the connection fairly easy and decided to just unplug it. You can see the wire sticking from the shift stick so I believe I unplugged the right wire. I don't tow with this truck so I don't need to spend any money to fix it. I found some small write ups on fixing this so maybe in the future I will fix this. :hands:

This took a total of 5 minutes.
