Has anybody ever fashioned a rigid top for their cargo shade? I end up working out of the back of my Tahoe sometimes and end up using the cargo shade as a place to set lightweight items. I've considered trying to make a top I can lay over top of it (rested on the roller and the bar that hooks into the back of the cargo area).

Anybody have any thoughts?

Imo the clips (hooks) that hold it in the closed position will break if you put something on there... like say 1/4 luan.
