removing factory "tow" hooks upfront..?

not sure if they are factory or not but they are on mine when I got it..

anyone know if you can remove those without messing the bumper up... when i look under there I dont want to back out and important bolt.. lmao.

There is two bolts on each tow hook. One long bolt goes thru it sideways thu the frame and towhook and has a nut on the other end. You will need a ratchet and socket on one end an wrench on the other end to hold the nut still. Then you have a short bolt that goes straight up thru the framerail into the towhook.

I know this is an older thread, but I'm stuck. Got the 2 bolts out of each hook. I can't get the damn hooks out. There isn't any room for them to slide out. There are bumper brackets or something in front of the slot in the frame that the hooks slide in to. Ive tried twisting them every which way and pulling the plastic part of the bumper to make room, but I can't get it. Now they are both wedged in there backwards and I can't even get them to move. HELP!
