Does anyone have any good ways to remove the tinting or painting that some put on their tail lights.

I just picked up a escalade 3rd brakelight & window that is smoked. If it was a film, it baked on there so well that I cant get a corner of it. There are several microscopic bubbles that lead me to think its not painted but then I try to get any piece of it to start peeling and think its painted.

Any ideas for either?

Tried some alcohol and rubbed away like crazy, no luck......

see a tint shop, they will be able to tell you the easiest way to remove, if its indeed a film based product.

You can always sand, buff and polish.

I am going to try a auto body supply store. Its definitly not a lay on tint, its painted on. I have tried, paint thinner, acetone, goo gone, goof off and some other junk, this stuff is not rubbin off or peling anywhere.

Put some reducer on a rag and wipe it down.
