Remove airbag stickers?

Can you use acetone on the visors to remove those huge ugly airbag stickers? I tried just peeling them and messed up the corner of one.

This is on a 23 suburban.

Good question. I'd try a hair dryer on it to see if the adhesive will loosen.

I am certainly interested in this. I pulled the drivers side sticker off but have not been able to get the adhesive off. I tried a steamer with no luck. My concern with goo gone or some other chemical would be that it might discolor the visor?

You might be able to find a different warning “fake” sticker to put on there. I’ve seen some about the engine horsepower or something like that before.

I'm a lazy. Does anyone know whether OEM replacement visors come without warning labels ?

Maybe try a local upholstery shop to either remove the stickers or re-cover the visors.

Never noticed being an visual issue on mine...but im sure NOW it will. If that is the case, i'll just make a decal to cover it.

It may not be an issue right now, just annoying. However, years down the road, if you sell the truck to someone else and they get hurt, you removed a Federally mandated warning sticker and they may also know an ambulance chaser who will then sue you.

Have you tried a product called GOO GONE ??? It’s an adhesive remover that I usually buy at the dollar store. The stuff works great on pretty well anything I’ve ever used it on to get rid of stickers and such !!! smells like oranges, so not offensive either.

I removed the stickers and all adhesive on my 00 Vette using just a hair dryer and taking about 15 minutes on each sticker. Clean as a whistle. Just too lazy to mess with it on my Yukon.

I would just cut and paste a nice photo over the stickers if it bothered me.
