everything is going ok
but the rearview mirror built in camera is not working
i guess i have to call the dealer
but i wanted to check if anyone faced the same problem
when i shift into reverse, the mirror light blinks and there is nothing. just the parking assistant

They moved the reverse camera screen to the rearview mirror in 2009. That way you can just look at your mirror and not have to look down at the nav screen while backing up.

And not even have the navigation system. My sister-in-law has a Traverse without navigation but with the rear view camera mirror. I'd prefer the one on the nav, it's a bigger picture to look at. Plus I don't use my rear view mirror when I back up, I just use the side mirrors and nav screen.

I agree with Zach, with even mediocre dark tint, the interior rear view mirror is useless when backing up, so having the screen up there is a bit inconveniant.
But maybe its not working due to loose connections at the rear of the mirror?

the rearview on the mirror is for people w/out sat nav. if you get the sat nav, the image moves to the screen.

can the tahoe one be adapted to say a Camero? (the rear view w/the screen)

Are you sure the rear-view image is turned "on" on the rear-view mirror? There is a button (think the left-most button) on the rear-view mirror that turns the back-up camera image on/off.

Good Luck. Got my 2010 Tahoe about 2months ago and have this option. The Mrs. really likes it.

I have a 2010 'Nali with the cam in the Nav... I hate using the camera regardless of where it is, the side mirrors are so damn big its like having HDTV anyway..

I have the factory rearview mirror backup camera and am adding factory navigation. Has anyone spliced into the camera wires and also gotten the camera to display on the navigation screen? Can you explain where you spliced in, which wires, etc? HOw is the image?
