So is there any way to get rid of the stupid child safe rear windows? I hate the fact that they only go down like a quarter way haha

They can't go all the way down on your truck. The weel wheel is part of the door and is in the path of the window to travel further down. Basically get used to it or get a suburban

A thread like this comes up every couple months. I always point out that my rears windows in my tahoe don't go down at all.

Whoever figures out how to make a bendy plastic window that looks/performs like glass could make a killing on these based on the number of times this question has been asked. :D

very doubtful anything will ever happen with those stupid windows.

When i first got my tahoe, i was considering making it a "panel" truck and closing up all the rear windows smooth and painting it. But just too much work involved

i hate it! they should have gone like the jeeps and other suvs with the small fixed window part then the front half slid down. the 10 inches they roll down is kinda pointless everyone asks why they dont go down anymore

Trust me, that little bit makes a difference. If I roll the front windows down in suburban teh widn hits you pretty good, if you crack the back windows also the breeze still comes in but isn't brutal. Try it and you'll understand. My 2 door makes me wish I had a vent or something to help out

Kris- your vent is hitting the "hatch" button while cruising down the highway. lol Almost like the older suburban how it rolled down inside the gate

I wonder if an old Suburban (73-91) rear window track could be modified to fit the window on a Tahoe and the Tahoe window glass be cut to fit?:hmm:
