Do any of the video on dash screen adapters work on these trucks?

I was wondering if any of the aftermarket adapters to supposedly allow you to watch video on the dash screen of a 21 Denali, actually work? Are there any other mods you can make for that? Also, is there a way to get rid of the ‘feature’ that keeps you safe by not allowing you to navigate file structures of usb media when you are driving?

What are you trying to watch? If you want to watch YouTube, Amazon prime, Netflix, HBO you can just get the app and watch it directly on the truck. It’s part of the built in infotainment on my Tahoe, not part of CarPlay. I was able to get them by adding the apps, tbh didn’t come on the truck by default.

If you’re trying to mirror your phone I never tried that.

Mirroring the phone was what I was thinking. I don’t have data turned on for the car anymore, do you need that or can you hotspot it off your phone?

without extensive modification one of those android boxes might work, they are usb and basically fake the system to think it's just a phone connection when it is really letting you watch whatever you want whenever you want
like autilinkr, autocast, etc. do your homework before buying

I'm still under the trial with onstar so I have all the features, I am not sure if they would work once that trial expires.

that being said, I didn't see any option to mirror the phone. I think you may need aftermarket for that.
