Rear window switch

I was doing some recon on the switches to get ready for covering to LED for all the doors. Was kinda stumped to see a simple switch having 8 pins on it. Why so many?

I'm hoping that's real close to my 99 tahoe. When I found the LR switch on the schematic I count only 7 pins on it but my switch has 8. I wonder if 1 pin is just along for the ride or if it does something different from the 98?

Well the switch may have 8 but I need to check the wiring connector to see if 1 is empty and not used for this particular application.

No worries, hope it helps. I doubt that they changed between 98 and 99 since it was toward the end of the model run.
