rear spring tow question

My 04 lt sits pretty level with the front keys cranked a little. My question is dropping a trailer on there is going to throw me the other way. Whats the best option

Run Z71 spring
1" spacers
Bags inside the coils?

My 98 tahoe i put airbags on the axles. I loved it i could really load up the truck and it flattened the truck in corners too.

This is the reason why the rear sits higher than the front...so you can carry weight and tow evenly.

I know but it was so low looking, i cant stand it. I would lift it more but its awd.

Replace the shackles with one that give 1.5-2" lift...it will raise the back end back to the factory difference between front and rear. It will also give you the ability to tow without driving nose up.

The shackles shouldn't cost much...check Belltech

I had the same issue on my 03 z71 spent 80 bucks on some airlift bags and couldn't be happier. This way I can had as much air as I need for the amount of weight I'm pulling. It also reduces porpoising down the road with a heavy tongue weight.

Thats what i was looking for. In the coil they dont lift the rear end up right, they just hold it up.

Simple question... What kind of trailer? Camper? Utility trailer? flat bed with a lawn mower? I would stick to air bags if you do anything on the heavier side. Camper, utility trailer etc. Other component is how much tongue weight? I work at an RV dealership so this is what I do all day long. If you are going to be hauling a big trailer than bags and a weight distributing hitch. Smaller trailers or utility trailer then just bags. We sell firestone and we have had zero issues.

Little landscape trailer is no big deal. But we are also buying a dump trailer that should be in this week. We went with the smaller dump trailer. 10' model as to the 14'. Still a heavy unit@3100lbs empty. I know i wont be able yo pull it around with a full load but at least we wont be limited to pulling it with just the 2500 dodge.
Never thought of a weight distr hitch, bummer. I just picked up one of those cool alum, flip pin hitches. Ever other hitch i have doesnt work with this truck because its do low.

I have a 2002 z71 and i ended up adding the airlift bags in my dropped coils and i love it. Add a little air when i need it and that's it.

So just to confirm, the bags that go in the coils wont lift the rear up, just hold it. I would have to put in 1" spacers probly also.
