Rear Entertainment Issues....

Has anyone successfully connected their iPhone to the rear entertainment? I have all the HDMI cables, and iphone to hdmi. Nothing works.

Yes, I have that and it does not work. I've tried hooking it up to my phone and our ipads and nothing. Once hooked up it should highlight the HDMI port on the screen that you plug into and neither light up on the screen.

That’s crazy, it worked for me right out of the box…. Maybe we are on different software versions or something…

So after doing an update on my iphone I went and purchased a NEW adaptor and it works! The adaptor I was using I purchased off of ebay for like 8 bucks. Very relieved I got it to work finally!

Thanks, I've been using a cheap one I bought off Ebay. Purchased a new one today and all is well now. Cheap is not always better

I didn’t buy mine off of Amazon as they said they were pre owned and were written up in German….
When it absolutely has to be genuine Apple, and no mistakes, you just go directly to Apple and pay the price.
Knockoffs MAY work, but many times they don’t have complete functionality. If you just need a power cord, knock offs may work. But if you need maximum functionality never substitute….
