i have a 2003 yukon xl 1500 4x4 with 125000 miles. i have recently developed a strange noise from what seems to be coming from the passenger side rear end. well i cant be sure thats where its coming from but it deff sounds like it coming from the rear. it is a clanking noise which gets louder and faster when i accelerate. after i reach speeds of about 30 mph it seems to go away though(or atleast i cant seem to hear it). and sometimes it doesnt even do it, though it makes the noise more than it doesnt. i have gotten under the truck to ck for loose parts and found nothing. i did notice that i have hole about half the size of a penny in the muffler. and around that hole it is really black(not sure if thats important or not). any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated as i really dont wanna take it to a shop.
