Hey all,
First off, I apologize if this has been covered in another post. I tried searching and didn't find anything about this for GMT900s.
I bought my 200k 2010 Yukon SLT early last year, so my knowledge of it's history is limited. Ever since we bought it, the rear, ceiling-mounted DVD screen has never worked. From what I can tell it doesn't do anything, not even a glow with no picture. I tried playing a DVD and it does nothing, I've tried the remote control and nothing.
I've been digging into this online for months and discovered info on what apparently is just for newer generations. Many posts and videos said that this is a common issue with those screens and you just have to replace the ribbon cable that goes down into the screen. I bought those cables and finally was able to get the screen down. I popped open the screen and found that it's not a ribbon cable at all. So I guess I'm back to square one. For all I know, the screen and it's wires are just fine but then what is the problem? The DVD player in the head unit??
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had issues with these in the GMT900 and have ideas of common issues with them.
Thanks!
