Rear defrost 2007 tahoe

Hello everyone I'm a master carpenter and very capable mechanic and car nut on my days off.
My question is ....one of my rear defrost wires has come off of the rear glass. Living in Florida I'll probably never use it but want it back in place so its not bouncing around. It drives me nuts in the rear view mirror.

So my question is ...can I attach it back with standard or regular electrical solder or do I need something more specialized.
Please don't respond with put tape on it. I am looking for a permanent solution

Resolder it. There are a few videos out there showing how.
I resoldered mine last fall and still working great.

I tried Permatex first, since it was all the local parts store had.
It did not work for me.

Frostfighter worked right away, although one of my tabs fell off a year or two later. (could be leftover permatex!)
Glad I bought the two pack, since my other chevy also broke a tab, I can do them both now...
