I was under the impression that these came stock on the Yukons and Tahoes, that is until I got my truck and backed it into my garage nearly taking out my son's bike, LOL! Anyway, has anyone ever installed an aftermarket set? I purchased a set of the Audiovox ACAB01 back up system, now I'm just wondering is it going to be worth paying to get it installed or is it something I can do myself. I would say I have moderate install experience, I have installed head units (GPS and DVD systems), DVD (overhead monitors and armrest mounted), rear cameras, and amps/subs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I got the answer to my question today! I went to 4 shops and all of them said "Oh, it's about a 3 or 4 hour job, so your looking at around $300." :emotions122: Yeah right! I did find one place that said they would measure, space, and drill the holes for me for $40 so I'm good with that. I'm pretty sure I can figure out the rest.

wow $300 for that does seem high! and the $40 deal sounds perfect. It doesnt seem like it would be that hard of a job as far as the actual install goes, so i would def. pay the $40 for the hard part! Let us know how it goes! i already have them so dont need a write up:mexsmoke: but its always cool to know how things work!

Yeah I know man, but it's cool because that tells me that it is going to be worth the time and experience to do it myself. Plus with them drilling the holes it's a win win for me. I will definitely post pics just in case of the slight possibility there is one more Yukon or Tahoe out there without these sensors, LOL!

Well, just to update anyone interested. I finally got it done! Total cost for the entire job was $90 and the install time was 1.5 hours!!! Not Bad, if I had not told you I'm pretty sure these could pass for stock sensors unless the two were side by side.
