Rear AC not blowing cold. Heater works just fine.

Hey guys I just want a second opinion on this situation.

When I turn the rear AC on it blows lukewarm at best, sometimes even hot air.

The front AC works very good.

The rear heater blows hot when it is set to hot.

I am under the impression that the rear blend door is not working correctly.

Do I just need to bite the bullet and open the rear HVAC compartment to replace the blend door/blend door actuator?

Put your Tech-2 on it and find out first!

Could be the blend door or the expansion valve. Let it run on cold and feel the aluminum lines that travel under the rocker panel to the rear evaporator. The high pressure should be warm, and the low pressure cold. That will tell you if the expansion valve is working and chilling the evaporator core.
