As part of a "while you're in there effort" on my dash/cluster refurb (temp gauge replacement and NOS pointer replacement) I was able to re-bulb" my stock OEM CD/radio today.
Youtube has a pretty good video on taking the radio/faceplate apart,
I had 8 of the 10 illumination LEDs burnt out.
Just a bit of unsoldering and re-soldered and that dark rectangle on my dash is now illuminated !!
