I recently installed a ranch hand on my tahoe. But It came with no bolts, I've been told several different answers and figured you guys would probably know more than the other 2.

What grade bolt should I install on the guard to the bracket? I've got some galvanized carriage bolts on there to hold it on, but am thinking of going with some grade 8. I just don't want it coming off, but I don't want it to bend my frame. Any help?

I used the originals that held my bumper. But mines an obs so stronger bolts I imagine. I believe grade 8 should be fine for you

This one is 3 pieces. The guard, and two brackets that mount to the frame. I used the original bolts off frame but I didn't have any bolts to mount the guard to the brackets (bought the ranch hand used)

Nope. They install on the outsides of the frame (same bolts on the tow hooks) and once those are installed you put the guard in place and adjust it to sit how you prefer and BOOM...Done. It took about an hour
