Mines doing the same thing at times. Im guessing it's the touch panel on the screen going bad. It doesn't change sources but will change stations and makes the beep sound being touched out of nowhere. I'm going to pull it apart to see what exact screen to get or just the digitizer part.

Takes 2-3 hours to R&R yourself. dealer does not do this repair nor offer the part
once you have the cage out on a table or whatever you will use to disassemble, take photos of the cable routing as you go along as they have to go back the same way
this is the part
and this is a pretty good how to for the most part, pay attention when putting the trim pieces back on, otherwise you will be doing it twice
click on the play button and it will take you to youtube

That's why I haven't done it yet. Usually it's remove bezel and you're there in not so many steps.

Imagine trying to fix anything on these newer vehicles when those clips are old and brittle.

Not sure why this is in the lifted suspension forum but since Ive read it - yes its the digitizer failing most likely. I have been on the hunt for an upgraded better resolution screen but havent found anything yet.

Moved it to the correct section.

I am on my 3rd radio display. It fails just as you mentioned. My 2nd one failed within a year. Fortunately, I have extended warranty so I’ve only paid $200 so far. The 3rd unit, replaced a month ago has started jumping between radio stations. I’ll be headed back to my dealer. This does not look like a job I’d take on.

I had a problem with my 2017 while still under warranty. The station presets would gray out and would not respond to touching them. It mostly affected xm presets. The dealership tried changing out the antenna, pigtails and whatever else they could think of. They had it for days while I was driving their rental. They told me it's done, it's working properly. I walk out to get in my Tahoe , start it up and everything is grayed out again. I left it running and brought the service tech out and showed him it was still doing it. After multiple trips, they finally agreed to replace the head unit. I still have it, and have not had an issue with it since. The 2017 model year must have bad head units.

Ours has done this occasionally for a couple years now. When it starts going crazy I just raise the screen which kills the image and the radio plays fine, use manual controls, and the backup camera works ok like that. I have tried the usual fixes, clean and wax, realign the touch display, but at some point I'll get in to it. But I haven't found a good video on "how to" for the panel that rises to open the storage compartment. Seems like that should be simpler?
