So I have a 2012 Tahoe and left the sunroof open and it rained inside the vehicle. The radio stopped working but the backlight on the radio still works. I purchased another OEM radio and plugged it in and it will not turn on as well but the eject button works and the backlight on the new radio comes on. Any ideas to get the new radio to come on? It had a DVD player radio and a Bose system.

I believe radios have to be programmed to work with cars they didnt come with? Hopefully someone can chime in that has done this but thats what I'm thinking would cause it to have power but not do anything else. Also check fuse related to radio which I think should be on the side of driver steering wheel, you remove that lid on the side.

The radio has to be VIN'ed to your radio. Dealer usually charges 1 hour to do it
