Getting my truck undercoated Saturday at a friend's house (he's a tech by trade, and bought the shop's undercoating equipment to do it on his own), and he said I could do the AT fluid and filter on his home lift prior to the undercoating.

Is the transmisison pan gasket reusable? It's not currently leaking. Are there any tips to sealing it back up, or does it go on dry after cleaning it, and all mating surfaces up?

TIA

IMO, while it is supposed to be reusable, I would replace it. I am not a fan of redoing work. If I expose a seal or gasket, I replace it or I will not stand behind the work I do in my driveway or at any shops I ever ran.
