I thought that my Denali came with On star for free for a couple years? I want to use super cruise but I need to have an active on star account apparntly. Is this not free for the first 2 years? what is the annual cost for this?

Don’t pay rack price, push back and they will escalate you to someone, possibly fluent in English or in the USA that will offer a lower rate.

You get it "free" for 3 years. When I bought my 2nd Denali used, I got a free 3 year trial as well. The salesman was surprised as he thought it was only free for 3 months on used vehicles.

The 2023 Yukon and 2025 both have the 3 year. It should be on the Window Sticker.

To get started with OnStar Super Cruise, you won't need to buy a plan. All OnStar Super Cruise-equipped vehicles come with 3 years of connectivity to support OnStar Super Cruise functionality. After 3 years, you'll need to buy a OnStar Super Cruise Plan.

hmm my Denali is only 1 year 10 months and the super cruise does not work because I need a subscription..

Both my new 22 Denali and used 23 Denali both came with 3 years. I don’t have super cruise, so I can’t speak on that. Hopefully someone with that option can chime in. Otherwise like someone else mentioned, I would check the window sticker and escalate with onstar.

On my 25 my delivering dealer verified that this was operational before I ever left the dealership. Comes with a three-year plan for super cruise, data and remote start etc. Nice to know that you don't have to worry about that for a while. But hey, you paid for it.....

When I bought my Denali Ultimate it had a charge of I think $1500 which is for the 3 year On-Star and SC package, didn't have a choice in it. So I would look at your window sticker also and see if that is listed or not. Did you buy this used or brand new? If you purchased it used then you may not have the full 3 years and only what is remaining from the original purchase date.

Just bought the wife a '25 Yukon XL with super ceuise. It is truly pretty cool. Changes lanes automatically! Attached is the window sticker. Comes with 8, yes 8 years of Onstar basic. But... it looks like Supercruise requires an additional packege at $40/mo.

I just picked up my'26. I believe I have a subscription good for three years, included with the purchase. Going to try supercruise a few more times. My initial impression was not ideal -- it was hunting within my lane during the entire ten miles I used it, and was more nerve racking than to just drive on my own. If supercruise were a teenager, I would tell it to aim high. I haven't tried FSD, but the videos would indicate that system is much more advanced than supercruise (of course, more expensive, too).

It could be that the ultimate is the only one that SC is included for 3 years... course it should be for what we paid!

Did you get (on the 2nd used Denali) 3 years from original in service date?
Or 3 years from when you purchased?

3 years from when I purchased. I just checked my Onstar plan and it shows that it expires on 1/26/2028. For what it's worth, I purchased the used '23 Denali from a Cadillac dealer but I would think this is true for any GM dealer. Not sure about non GM.

Thanks! I've been looking for used w/super cruise. I was expecting only the remaining balance of the original 3 years of OnStar for super cruise.

Neither rig came with Super Cruise so I can't speak on that. Good luck with your search!
