Question about my barn doors

I contacted my local dealer yesterday about new pins and bushings for my '95 Tahoe rear cargo doors and after about 5 min. he comes back and says that they have been discontinued for the '95 & '96 models. Apparently the '97 and later were different?? He seemed genuinely stumped and didn't have any other options for me.

Now, if aftermarket houses don't have 'em and I can't get it from the dealer.....? Has anyone ever checked to see if the pins & bushings from a van are the same??

I don't see how they would be different from that period of time I could be wrong . Have you tried LMC ?

Yeah I did, only side doors listed that I could see.

No Problem , Most of the time they will add notes To the parts if they only Fit certain years I.E dash differences in 95-99 , I would give them a Call to be safe they will know

just to be clear these are the barn door "hinge" hardware correct not the door catch mechanism? either way i got gm part numbers and source for them.

BTW-SunLitComet, I took those numbers to the dealer today. Turns out they had pins but had to order the bushings. They sure were curious as to where I got those numbers from.

tell them you have classified sources.

where they like 1. you should not have those. or 2. how come we cant see those.

Changed the hinge pins and bushings on my right cargo door this afternoon. Holy chit was that a project! Ended up with a die grinder with a cut off wheel to cut the pin at the mating surfaces to get the door off then heat the ends with a torch. The bottom hinge wasn't too bad, or the bottom of the top hinge. But the head of the pin on the top hinge was a @#$%^&* *****!!!!!

Finally got it though. Shut nice but still didn't open very good. Finally figured out the weatherstrip was folding inward between the doors as it closes and causes a bind when you go to open it. Guess that will be added to the list to work on.
