question about baggin a 2wd..

on the front. I have heard I can use fullsize chevy truck bag cups and they will bolt up to my lower control arm... but on the upper, my control arms are stamped, not the tubular ones... do I need to get the tubular ones?

An air bag designed for a two vehicle should fit just like a coil spring on a 2wd. As long as the airbag dimensional width is about the same as a coil you should not have to change anything since the upper end of bag mounts to the frame cups. Unless I am missing something.

you have spring cups you will use upper and possible lower air bag cups prob use a dominator 2500-2600 bag but the upper cup will be either bolted in or welded in

You can use your stock stamped upper & lower arms with the bag cup kit, the arms are just like the 1/2 ton truck arms. You won't get a bunch of drop though unless you do lots of modifications to the arms & spring pockets in the frame.

What we use a lot on the 88 - 98 Chevy trucks is Choppin' Block's tubular arms (instead of modifying the stock arms). We cut out the spring pocket, cut out the frame for tie rod clearance & cut & modify the frame for the lower arms to get all the travel possible. We cut the cups down to 2 1/2", weld a 5/8" bolt to the upper bag cup then use a washer & nut to keep it in place in the spring pocket threw the hole for the stock shocks.

Here's a 88 - 98 truck with Choppin' Block arms.
