Sold already? Wow ive missed some posts. Would have liked to see this finished. From what ive read this should fit w/o isue on my 01 Denali as these brackets were made for that model truck?
The brackets were made for the 03-07 classic 1500 vehicles. As long as your spindle is the same you should be fine.
Interesting... Are you at all concerned how this changes the brake bias? Bigger doesn't always mean better. What size are the pistons?
From what I've read on the corvette forums, the zo6 brakes are not thought highly of. In fact, many of the owners are switching to Brembos or stoptechs.
I eventually plan on trying something custom too... I'll share more once I've done the calcs.

Hey Brent, just wondering if you have Rudy's contact info from Performance trucks. net. I am looking to do the same conversion you have done but I have a 99 obs tahoe and I wanted to see if he fabs up brackets for me. Have you put the the 6 pistons on yet?

I don't have it off hand as I was just PMing him on Performance forum. But I sold the kit as it didn't fit my rims and went with Wilwoods but ended up getting new rims anyway since had issues with both sets of rotor clearance.

Did this in all honesty make a great bit of difference? Would you say the difference justifies the price? I am trying to put together this kit now. I have the eradispeed 2piece 14inch rotors and just ordered the brackets so I need to find the rear rotors and all 4 calipers. The calipers are expensive though. The Baer rotor kit #2301028 is close to 900. I am pretty sure I can get a different complete set for less once all is said and done .

In on a off road race team and we have 2 trophy trucks with big brakes on them. They are made by CNC. Anyways we decided to step it up to the brembo kit which cost about 5k a corner!! That I do not understand but the Walker Evan's rims hit the caliper on it also. So we took them down to Geiser bros. ( who builds the trucks) and they machined the rim to clear it. Works great now. Just don't bolt on a different rim that isn't machined lol. Our rims are also forged so that's why we were able to machine them like thatbolting the caliper on to the bracket is easy. But once you get that rotor on there and realize how the caliper sits in proportion to that rotor... now that would be showing something. Mine bolted up just fine too until it came time to put the rotor on. Then we had to do all sorts of grinding and machining.
Wish this coulda went further and the wheels cleared that caliper. Would have liked to see it completed.
I say screw the brakes for now and start colormatching/eliminating that chrome.

Yes I did realize it and I have done it before and received answers because it will sent the person I am quoting an alert that i posted to it. But thanks for worrying about it though, oh and you know sometime people do search and browse old posts to look for help if they are doing something similar.
I do realize that, sorry wasn't trying to sound like a smart ass. I just see a lot of people come on here and not realize how old the last post was. And you're right, @THE YETI is active here still. I didn't see who you were quoting due to my old man eyes and the fact I was on my phone with it's tiny font. Hopefully he'll chime in here especially since I just activated another alert for him. I did the Wilwood 16" 6-piston fronts / 14" 4-piston rears on mine and honestly it wasn't much more than what you'll have into the Z06/ Baer setup. Plus you can measure off their templates to assure your wheels won't hit. The Brembo's I looked at were about $5k an axle for the 16" 6-piston/ 14" 4-piston, not per corner. Which ones did you buy that were twice that much?

Oh I thought you were being a smart ass Haha I'm sorry. Well there have been a few times already since I have been on here that I have got really rude responses before that are uncalled for so I figured it was just another one. In not sure what series we put on it but I have a photo I can post here hopefully.. as far as the brakes go I need to just find the calipers and I'll be set. I know my dad has a pretty good size set of will Woods off of his old race truck at his auto shop maybe I could just rebuild those and make my own bracket. The bracket isn't the hard part that's just a little bit of fabric creating a template making it work people do it all the time and off-road. It's finding a caliper that fits your rotor correctly. I found another fella the other day selling a set of yellow calipers off of ZO6 and he wants $1,000 I can seriously buy them brand new almost for that much at least pretty damn close to it

I've yet to see anybody follow thru on this install in a SUV. I considered the upgrade but for the price difference it seemed better to do Wilwoods fitment wise and i would have to get new wheels. There are always Z06 brake calipers new on eBay. I wouldn't buy them used considering they may need a rebuild. I'm still not clear how the one piece brake pads work compared to the pucks, seems like the pins would be in the way. I don't think the calipers are overpriced, but the damn rotors sure are considering they are a wear item.
I'd like to see how this turns out.. can't be bad having a 6/4 piston setup with all that leverage on a big rotor..

So I decided to throw the zo6 caliper set up out the window because the calipers cost s shit load and I can seriously buy a big brake kit from bear or one of the other companies for cheaper than it would cost to do the Z06 conversion. Plus I already have the 14in two-piece rotors and everybody says you have to run the 15 in so I would have to scrap those and get new rotors by then basically have nothing in might as well give up so instead I found somebody that hooked it up with the front and rear brackets and I came across a set of Camaro SS Brembo 4-piston front calipers and I can't find any info on anybody doing that so I took the bracket Brembo it's right in the same bolt pattern as the Corvette is the Camaro run the 14 inch rotor not a 15 just like I have so when I get some time I'm going to pull it all off and see what's up. For the back I ended up coming across the ZO6 calipers I picked up four of them 2 Red 2 Silver for a hundred fifty bucks
