Well it seems as tho I do have the button assy for it. Even tho pretty much all the white has worn off. I'm thinking about just using my '02 mirrors for now. I think I've figured out how to wire most of it. I know I can make the blinkers work cuz those were added anyway. But mine have everything but power folding and are already color matched white. And then use those until I can afford the ones that have power fold, auto-dim, defrost/heated, blinkers, and puddle lights. I haven't found those for less than $300
The color matched mirror covers are held on with double stick tape. You can pry them off carefully without any damage and you can reuse them on another set.

Well guys, is anyone here needing anything for a 99-02? Free if you pick it up or pay for shipping and I'll send it. It seems I'm gonna have a handful of good used parts from my '02 that I won't be able to use anymore. Such as: locking gas cap w/ key, OnStar rear view mirror, front and rear disc brakes, dash bezel, power steering pump w/ bracket & pully, 2 white rear lift gates w/ glass attached, and a few other things. Let me know before I change my mind and post it all on eBay!

I'm adding '02 side mirrors to the list of free stuff I'm giving away- auto dimming, puddle lamps, and fully adjustable, black trim. Also '02 dash bezel

Are you going with a double din? If so you'll need the cage for the radio from the 05, along with the 05 dash bezel.

Sorry, I didn't clarify before. Yes I'm staying with the double din '05 set-up. I already got a bezel for it. Had to do some plastic welding repairs on it: had 3 cracks along top edge and it had missing attachment clips. Still gotta paint it. Yes, I already have the plastic adhesion promoter and the charcoal grey interior trim paint. Im doing it right

Interesting. I’ve pulled apart a couple sets of mirrors and the caps I’ve pulled apart all had plastic snapping clips holding them in place on the mirror housing and no double sided adhesive anywhere.

Hmm, I've only seen the tape used. 20220210_111456.jpg
Yes, it's broken.
Only tape was used to hold this one on.

I got the power mirrors too! They take FOREVER to fold!

Do you guys happen to know how I can retrofit the glovebox light? I don't see a location to mount what I see on ebay..

I'm guessing a big square hole would need to be cut somewhere..

Thank you sir!

And I apologize, I originally meant to post in the other thread 'Differences between 00-02 and 03-06' ..

I'm all fairness mine did have the plastic clips, but just like a lot of other old plastic clips, they tend to break easily when pulled on. So foam tape is probably recommended even if the clips are still there.

Still working on getting this '05 engine wiring harness installed. When I took the '02 harness out, I cut the wires off the 2 connectors for the Park/neutral safety switch on the trans. The 2 that are glued in. The used harness I got they were missing anyway. I'm sure for the same reason: glued connectors. But I got the wires matched up and heat shrink butt spliced. Same color code
