There's a few YT channels dedicated to automotive refinishing. I recommend you watch a few. Paint Society is actually coming out with a video soon on how to paint (color match chrome) metal bumpers. But there's other views out there as well.
What part of Texas are you in?
I watched a few of those videos and they did it almost exactly like I had planned. Just go town with a vibrating sander seems to be the ticket along with a good primer. Now, you can't use everything on chrome plastic like you can on chrome steel. I think I can. I think I can....Well... it looks like an old Chebby!

Yeah I probably will. I get excited after I get something done. And it's right lolSome of us would rather see progress pics, whether that's a regular or intermittent thing!
