Hey guys, I went to a local detail shop today and got quoted $120ish to detail the entire hoe and about $50 extra to polish the 23"s and Corsa Tips. Is this a good price? What does everyone else pay?

Also, what price am I looking at to fix some small scratches that arn't deep.

Thanks

Totally depends on the amount of work they put into it and where you go... Stay the F away from the dealerships. They'll **** you.

I can pay $35 for a "detail" that includes thorough cleaning of the interior (vacuum, wipe down and condition dash/trim, condition seats, wash inside of windows). Then a car wash where they wash thoroughly and chamois the entire vehicle and door jambs. They'll clean the outside of the windows and apply tire dressing. For an extra $25 or so they'll wax the vehicle.

Orrrrr I can go to the dealership and get a "detailing" for $100+ that includes the same basic things minus the wax. They'll basically vacuum it out, wipe of the dash and run it through their automatic car wash....and then charge me an arm and a leg for it. *******.

A lot depends on the attention (pardon the pun) to detail they put into their... detail. I've seen some folks that use waxes that cost more than a months truck payment (granted, they last for quite some time), can remove all sorts of swirls, and essentially make whatever you have look brand new for $$$ (like 500+), but, I've generally paid about 150~200 around here to get the inside and out done (shampoo inside too).

the price and time quote sound about right from what I've been quoted.

i used to be a second head detailer for red carpet her in the okc and we charged basically 100 bucks for a full detail which included vacuum, wash, wax, full interior shampoo, interior and exterior dressing, leather treatment if u have leather, and also headliner touch up if its dirty.... also charged like an additional 20 for an engine bay and dressing job but u had to sign a waver since there is so many electrical components that could get hurt... now this was like 7 years ago i dunno if the prices have inflated or not... but i would say 75-100 bucks is reasonable especially if they include a full interior shampoo and a nice banana or caranuba wax....
