Power tailgate won't close when hot - 2012 Yukon XL Denali

My tailgate will open by the key fob or by the switch inside of the vehicle regardless of temperature. But when it gets hot out (90 degrees or hotter) the power close does not work with either. Has anyone else run into this?

I recently replaced the gas struts and that has not remedied the problem.
